Emmy is an Airedale Terrier/Hound mix . In March 2001, Emmy was found wandering around
on a highway on a northern Arizona Indian reservation and she was rescued by the Southwest Airedale Terrier (SWAT) Rescue. I
am a big lover of Airedales and had planned to find one at the rescue to adopt. I was NOT looking for a puppy.
Emmy tugged at my heart from the moment I saw her but it took me about 3 visits to the rescue to finally admit to myself that
Emmy and I were meant to be together. She has been the light of my life ever since. We celebrate Emmy's birthday
on her adoption day, March 16th (my dear departed Grandmother, Jessie's birthday. I truly believe that my Grandmother
had a hand in bringing Emmy and myself together. I look at Emmy and remember my Grandmother's love.)
Emmy likes to eat, sleep, play, play, play, tear up foam beds, kill her "snake", squeak her toys for hours on
end, and get lots of belly rubs! She celebrated her 5th birthday with Spencer on 9/20/05.
